If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the complexities of modern health, you aren’t alone. As the Co-Founder of Holistic Mercantile & Wellness Education Center in Centerville, Tennessee, Angie serves as a dedicated bridge between conventional medicine and holistic healing.
Angie’s mission is simple: to create a space where Education meets Solutions for Better Family Wellness. She doesn’t just give you a plan; she helps you coordinate the resources you need to chart your own unique path to healing.

From Personal Crisis to Public Mission
Angie’s path into botanical medicine began in 2002 when her father was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Determined to understand the root cause, she discovered Astragalus Root—her first introduction to the healing power of plants. Through relentless research, she uncovered that a simple parasite had caused his cancer, a revelation that ignited her lifelong commitment to sharing this knowledge with others.
Her dedication deepened in 2020 when she contracted COVID-19 and could no longer manage her blood sugar naturally. A pancreatic surgeon introduced her to botanical solutions for immune support and metabolic health, solidifying her mission to educate others navigating wellness in a post-COVID world. For 24 years, Angie has been self-taught in botanical medicine. For 14 years, she has served as a Medical Advocate, trained in 2012 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord through a Department of Defense grant. That training in research methodology now fuels her ability to translate complex botanical science into practical, accessible wellness strategies for families.

Botanicals vs. Pharmaceuticals
Angie’s approach is rooted in a fundamental truth: Botanicals are complex, and their effects are often broader and more comprehensive in healing the root cause. Unlike pharmaceuticals, which typically target isolated symptoms, botanical medicine works synergistically with the body’s innate ability to heal itself—often with far fewer long-term side effects.
She teaches families to view botanicals not as “alternatives” but as foundational tools for whole-body wellness. Her philosophy centers on the mind, body, and spirit connection, empowering clients to become their own medical advocates.
Beyond the Apothecary: The Real Angie
When she’s not researching botanicals or teaching workshops, Angie loves:
Her guiding principle, borrowed from William Eleazar Barton, sums up her philosophy perfectly:
“She simply forbade herself the cheap luxury of a closed mind.”
